    FAQ

    Q. Can my child join the Dive Team even if they don't know how to dive?

    A. Yes! As long as they are not afraid to try and can jump off the diving board, we will teach them. We do require that all divers are able to swim across the deep end unassisted so we know they will be safe in the water.

    Q. What equipment/swimsuit do we need?

    A. Divers can wear any appropriate swimsuit for practice (no two-piece bikinis or loose swim trunks please - we don't want any wardrobe malfunctions!). Be sure long hair is pulled back and out of your diver's face. Team suits should be worn for meets - they can be purchased at our swimsuit fittings at the pool, or online through our team swimsuit vendor (click HERE).

    Q. Can I stay to watch practice?

    A. Parents are always welcome to observe practice from outside the fence (bring camp chairs!). Family members and caregivers, including pool members, are not allowed on the pool deck or inside the pool facility at any time while the pool is closed (this includes not walking children in for practice). Family members and caregivers who wish to enter the facility during practice while the pool is open must go to the admissions window and either pay the daily entry fee ($5 per person) or sign in as pool members. Failure to respect this policy may result in removal from the team.

Please do not linger near the diving well or try to talk with the coaches or your diver during practice. It is important that the coaches are able to focus on the divers (and the divers on the coaches) without distractions.

    Q. Will practice be cancelled if it's raining? How will I know if practice is cancelled?

    A. We will still practice in the rain! Unless there is thunder or lightning or heavy rain at the pool, practices will go on as usual. If practice is canceled, you will receive a notification through SwimTopia. There are no make-ups for weather-related cancellations.

    Q. What if my diver needs to miss a practice? Is there a make-up policy?

    A. It is fine if a diver misses a practice. There is no need to do anything if this happens. However we do not offer a make-up policy and there will be no prorating of fees.

    Q. Is there a volunteer requirement for Dive Team?

    A. There is no volunteer requirement, but all families are expected to volunteer when needed and we will need several parents to learn to judge our meets (training will be provided).

    Q. How do I change my account information (email, phone number, etc.)?

    A. In the upper right corner of the screen (after logging in) you will see a box which says "Welcome [your name]". Hover on this then click on "My Account". You can change your address and passwords here. If you wish to change any other account information, please contact [email protected].

    Q. Who do I contact with questions, concerns, or suggestions?

    A. Please email [email protected].
